“SERVE THE LORD WITH GLADNESS” Psalm 100:2

Our Pledge:

As members of the LWML we pledge:

In fervent gratitude for the Savior’s dying love and His blood-bought gift of redemption, we dedicate ourselves to Him with all that we are and have; and in obedience to His call for workers in the harvest fields, we pledge Him our willing service wherever and whenever He has need of us. We consecrate to our Savior our hands to work for Him, our feet to go on His errands, our voice to sing His praises, our lips to proclaim His redeeming love, our silver and our gold to extend His Kingdom, our will to do His will, and every power of our life to the great task of brining the lost and the erring into eternal fellowship with Him. Amen.

Who are the Girls of Grace & What do they do?

In short, our goal is to be “workers in the harvest fields” for Jesus! Girls of Grace is the name of our Grace Lutheran Church women’s group, serving as a member of the national organization, LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League). As the pledge states, we aid in the care of those in need in our congregation & community both physically & financially. Our motto is Serve the LORD with gladness! (Psalm 100:2). In service of the Lord, we hold a monthly meeting to plan missions & events, pray for women of the congregation, share a devotion & a meal, fellowship and so much more. All ladies of Grace are welcome to join at any time.

Our “Hands to work for Him” & “Feet to go on His errands”

Since their beginning at Grace in 1995, the Girls of Grace have been organizers & planners, here are a few examples of Church :

  • Altar flowers & refreshments: the Girls of Grace organizes the sign-up sheets, pay the florist and fill in any gaps

  • Spring Cleaning & Hanging of the Greens (Christmas decorating)

  • Holiday Flower Sales: the Girls of Grace sets out sign-up, orders & pays for the flowers, coordinates delivery, and arranges them in sanctuary (*GoG only charges enough to cover costs, this is not a fundraiser)

  • Confirmation Banners: the Girls of Grace helps confirmands plan their banners, when needed fabric is collected, organized, cut, & ironed

  • Advent & Lenten Meals: the Girls of Grace chooses the offering recipients, prints the sign-up sheets, and picks the menu. When needed, the GoG sets up, serves and cleans up

  • Coopersville Cares Sale: every August the Girls of Grace helps with set up, sorting, selling and clean up

  • Hat & Mitten Tree Collection Tree donated to Wellspring Family Services
